This Privacy Policy describes how KN Shoppable Videos (the "App") collects, uses, and shares information when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we automatically gain access to certain types of information from your Shopify account:

• Shopify Store Data: We collect your shop's primary domain (.myshopify.com URL), store settings, and plan details to configure the App and authenticate requests.
• Product Information: We read product data (titles, handles, and price details) to allow linking products to video elements.
• Storefront Interaction Data (Anonymized): We collect anonymous interaction events from buyers on your storefront. This includes video impressions, play events, watch times, and add-to-cart clicks.
• No Personal Data Stored: We do not collect, process, or store personally identifiable information (PII) of your customers, such as names, billing/shipping addresses, phone numbers, or emails. All customer interaction data is fully anonymized.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the service:

• To authenticate your store session and authorize Shopify Admin API requests.
• To generate and display interactive video feeds on your storefront.
• To provide you with aggregated performance analytics on views, clicks, and conversion rates.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your store configuration and anonymized analytics data for as long as the App remains installed. If you uninstall the App, we automatically delete all associated data (including access tokens and settings) from our database via Shopify's app/uninstalled webhook.

4. GDPR and Privacy Law Compliance

We support and respect global privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

• Data Erasure & Access Requests: The App does not store customer personal data. If we receive a GDPR data request from Shopify, we audit and log the request in compliance with Shopify's requirements.
• Compliance Webhooks: The App is fully integrated with Shopify's mandatory privacy compliance webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact.

5. Security

We protect your data by using secure Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL) encryption for all database connections and network traffic. Access tokens are stored securely on our database servers.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
